NightTide Metal Works

Welcome to NightTide Metal Works, custom blacksmithing and sculptures. My name is David Masse and my smithy is located in the picturesque, coastal town of Kittery, Maine. My smithy was raised with the hard work of some good friends. It was stick built using locally harvested and milled Hemlock and is still a work in progress. I have been blacksmithing for over ten years. I am mainly self taught with some formal training in blacksmithing, welding and mechanical drawing. I have been working with metal in some form or another since high school. Most of my inspiration comes from the environment around me. Almost all of my work is made using metals from the local scrap yard. I use a combination of new and traditional techniques and tools. My web site is new and it is a work in progress, I will be adding more images as I get time.
